I'm not sure if you wanted a thread per suggestion but that would fill up this forum with new threads from me, so I'll put them all here.
Things I would like:
1) World peace
No, wait, that's the wrong list....
2) Wall thickness
Yes I know we go on about it but it remains a problem with some clients. I mostly do floorplans for upmarket agents and their smart (expensive) custom floorplans all have at least a realistic wall thickness, if not an accurate one. Mobile Agent floorplans look 'cheap' by comparison. One agent who would like to switch to me using Mobile Agent picked thin walls as his first reason for not switching.
I don't want variable wall thickness, which I understand would be an absolute nightmare, but just a toggle between normal and thick - this presumably would
have to be set before starting the floorplan, which I would be quite willing to accept. The same internal/external thickness ratio would be fine - all I want is a choice between 300mm and 500mm external walls.
3) Angled stairs
Thanks - the new no-handrail and no-bottom-step options are absolutely wonderful - now I can do those 'two steps up' between rooms.
This is a long shot request but I've twice recently had to try to do stairs that turned 45 degrees, not 90 degrees on a corner - endless separate bits of worktop and short lengths of stairs were needed.
But I accept this is a low volume request.
4) Non-automatic chimneys
I find it a perpetual nuisance to have an external chimney appear when I'm trying to add just a fireplace, if my mouse pointer strays over the wall. Either make the chimney option a different type of fireplace, or make it possible to 'dispapear' the chimney.
It would be nice to have a blank chimney breast (exactly as it is now) and a chimney breast with fireplace (but without external chimney).
5) Non-automatic quadruple doors
Does anyone actually use this feature, where double doors over 2.00m wide turn into quadruple doors? It seems almost useless because there is only one width (2.52m - why?) where the doors don't overlap or leave a gap. Just make the double doors remain for any size doorway, so they can be used for old fashioned garage doors for instance, and let the users add two sets for quadruple doors.
6) Door size option
This goes with the wall thickness issue. It would be lovely to have a wider default door option, say 900mm, so that I don't have to make every door bigger each time, when doing houses that have magnificent doors. OK, it's perfectly do-able at present, it's just tedious.
7) Door option on cupboards
Does the storage/airing/boiler/wardrobe choice just control the text that some users make use of? I would like a door option instead, so that I could choose between single-hinged-door, double-hinged-door and sliding-door cupboards - deleting the default door and replacing it with the right door is much more time-consuming than changing the text would be (plus I don't use the text, hee, hee...)
8) Improve the showers
Both the normal and corner showers are pretty ugly things and bigger showers look just like odd baths. How about tightening them up as shown in the bottom of the diagram? I assume TMA is all parametric, so I've added parameter values.

The corner bath is just as bad (all the others are fine) - looks like an eight-year-old drew it.
9) Default worktop width
I have
never drawn a floorplan of a house with 500mm deep worktops and I doubt they still exist - but that is the default size for the worktops and the sink/cooker appliances. I guess there may have been an idea that shallow worktops will make kitchens look more spacious that they are, but instead it just looks like the floorplan is trying to con the viewer. 600mm is the depth of 99.something % of worktops, so let's have that.
10) Drainerless sink
I can put in a drainer-less sink with double bowls, the very strange double-and-two-halves bowls and, nearly, for a bowl-and-a-half sink - but not for a single bowl, which always has a drainer. I can see it's the parameters at work again but a drainerless single bowl (such as a Belfast sink) is pretty common.
I presume the double-and-two-halves bowls should actually have been a full-bowl/half-bowl/full-bowl which has the merit of exisiting in reality....
11) Aga
This goes with the upmarket houses, like the wide doors and thick walls. Can we please have an Aga to add in the kitchen? This was number two on the posh agents reasons for turning down the Mobile Agent floorplans.
I've used the 'add a space' object for this up to now but it is a poor subsititute. If I was uncharitable (which of course I'm not), I'd point out there are lots more Agas than there are double-and-two-halves bowl sinks....
There are two distinctive 'essence of Aga-ness' features, in addition to the obvious two hotplate covers, which are the handles and the towel rail, so here is my Aga object:

That's it for now - if you could have those ready for Monday's jobs, I'd much appreciate it.....
